It was just before closing time when I got a call from one of the expensive young womens stores saying they thought they might have some shoplifters. I flipped the security camera switch for their store and quickly saw the two girls who were the suspects. As I watched, the image was also taped. One of the girls, slid some jeans and a top into a bag the other had in her hand. All the while they were looking around furtively trying to make sure they werent seen. Too bad girls, I gotcha!
I picked up the phone and called the store telling them I was on the case
and not to worry, Id get the shoplifters. Then I took off for the store which, luckily, was right in the same concourse and level of the mall.
I came around the corner and approached the store just as my two suspects were walking out. "Didnt you forget something, ladies?" I asked.
"Who asked you?" snarled the one with light brown hair who Id seen putting the addition merchandise in the bag.
"Oh my God, Dee Dee! Its a security guard!" said the other, a very nervous looking blonde who appeared to be maybe a couple years younger than the other girl.
"Youre suspected of shoplifting. Come with me to the security office so I can verify that you have reciepts for everything," I ordered, taking both girls by their arms and leading them back to my area.
"I told you we shouldnt do this Dee Dee!" whined the blonde.
"Shut-up Dani!" said the other angrily.
