She tried in vain to reposition herself in the chair as she discreetly peeked over the little laptop at him. His self-confident smirk without so much as a glance her way told her shed been seen...both peeking and squirming in her chair. She arrived a day earlier than he, as theyd planned. She wasnt fond of travel and needed the extra time to accustom herself to the new surroundings. His meeting had been canceled at the last minute, so he was able to take an earlier flight and looked forward to surprising her. The reservations were made in his name.
